How to prevent the september blues kicking in?

Summer is over! It’s time to DO something before the September blues kick in.

Summer energized me with plenty of exiting ideas! Inspiration came walking through the rice fields and kasrt mountains of Vietnam: the colors, the people, the amazing scenery. Back home I immediately started planning and initalizing new projects. But it wasn’t always like that!
How come it is different this year?
 

This summer I deliberately set an intention to connect to ‘that something’ I needed to have more focus. Thanks to my Balances and allowing myself to take time for my work-out every day, I found the solution. I had to ‘appreciate what is’  –  with compassion and joy.

 
Of course, I worked on this subject before, but now I transformed deeply hidden beliefs and emotions. What a relief!  It gives me focus and energizes me to take action.

 

When school and work and ‘everything’ starts again, intentions seem to disappear

A lot of people return from their holiday with exiting ideas: to stay healthy and fit, to protect their work life balance, to nurture their relationship and friendships, to find a new job, to daily do some yoga or meditation, to kick-start a new project…

But suddenly schools starts, workload ramps-up and energy fades away. There are no signs their ideas become actual facts… it doesn’t simply happen. Everything stays the same.

 
How to break this pattern?  
 

Why people struggle to keep promises to themselves

Many people struggle with taking action on their intentions and goals. They seem to drift away like a ship without a captain. Logically – one day – they feel stuck and tired, powerless or angry. Again the belief “I can’t” becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

These things happen because people adopt too many beliefs that are not their own! Young children tend to automatically adopt other people’s ideas (from the big influencers like parents, family, teachers, etc). Supportive ideas of course. But also self-limiting ones like: “Better safe than sorry”, “Do what they ask”, “Work hard”, “Be modest”, “Never start your own business”, “Don’t fail” or “You are not smart enough to…”

 

These kind of ideas numb your unique self. Aligning yourself with other people’s beliefs or expectations can be paralyzing from taking action for your own goals and desires.
Research provides insights into why this happens. The basic conclusions about who we are and what we can expect from life are learned before kids are 7 years old. Neurosciences shows this is because young kids brains are in a receptive state. Epigenetics explains beliefs are accumulated at cellular level and are hidden in the subconscious mind (Bruce Lipton, Joe Dispenza, Deepak Chopra, Elizabeth Blackburn and many others).

 

Nobody is a victim

This does not mean you are a victim. Nobody can turn back time, so dwelling in the past won’t change how you feel and act today.
You  have a choice. You can take responsibility for your joy, health, relationships, fulfillment, communication, success… You CAN change limiting perceptions in every life area to move on and experience lightness and ease.

 

Here’s how you can start today: 4 steps

  1. Decide now to only use your energy, intelligence and creativity to move towards realizing your goals and dreams. No excuses anymore! 
  2. Tell yourself you’re worth it to make a fresh start. Tell yourself that’s you’re ready and willing to change.
  3. Liberate yourself from beliefs, feelings, memories, values that don’t serve you any more. Only by deleting and overwriting limiting old stuff you create space for something new.
  4. Change your perceptions and beliefs.

 

Inspire yourself with uplifting beliefs about taking action

Like…. 

  1. I trust my decision and immediately take action. 
  2. Taking action is a natural habit for me.
  3. I forgive myself for procrastinating in the past and I start now.

Find a way – not an excuse!
Inspire yourself with these examples of beliefs about taking action and pick what suits you. Use what works for you to change and integrate these new beliefs and observe how easy you will take action.
