Thought, word and then Action?
January 23rd, 2009 . by Leon Jay . No Comments
I personally believe the easiest way to change your life is to have the right thoughts. These thoughts will lead to the right words, which in turn will lead to the right action.
There is no right or wrong way to attain what you want. Whatever works for you is the best way. Here is another way…
Demonstrate the right action from the beginning. Doing somthing is powerful - so powerful it can in itself re-wire your thoughts. Simply do the first action that springs into your mind (before your mind takes over and starts telling you one hundred reasons why not). In doing the process in reverse you can achieve the same result of changing your thoughts.

Why Aren’t You Rich Already?
January 20th, 2009 . by Leon Jay . No CommentsI love the practical steps in this article by Brian Tracy. It is so revealing if you honestly answer the key question he asks of you, as this will uncover your hidden blocks. Enjoy this!
Law of Abundance by Brian Tracy
The Law of Abundance - there is ample money for everyone who knows how to acquire it and keep it. We live in an abundant universe in which there is sufficient money for all who really want it and are willing obey the laws governing its acquisition.
You Can Have All You Want
There is plenty of money available to you. There is no real shortage. You can have virtually all you really want and need. We live in a generous universe and we are surrounded on all sides by blessings and opportunities to acquire all we truly desire. Your attitude, of either abundance or scarcity toward money, will have a major impact on whether you become rich or not.
Make a Decision
The first corollary of the Law of Abundance says that, “People become wealthy because they decide to become wealthy.”
They become wealthy because they believe they have the ability to become wealthy. Because they believe this completely, they act accordingly. They consistently take the necessary actions that turn their beliefs into realities. And you can always tell what your beliefs really are by looking at your actions. There is no other way.
The second corollary of this law says: “People are poor because they have not yet decided to become rich.”
Examine Your Own Thinking
In the book, The Instant Millionaire, by Mark Fisher, the old millionaire asks the boy who has sought his advice about becoming a millionaire, “Why aren’t you rich already?”
This is an important question to ask yourself. However you answer this question will reveal a lot about yourself. Your answers will expose your self-limiting beliefs, your doubts, your fears, your excuses, your rationalizations and your justifications.
Review Your Reasons
Why aren’t you rich already? Write down all the reasons you can think of. Go over your answers one by one with someone who knows you well and ask them for their opinion. You may be surprised to find that your reasons are mostly excuses that you have fallen in love with.
Whatever your reasons or excuses, you can now get rid of them. The world is full of hundreds and thousands of people who have had far more difficulties to overcome than you could ever imagine, and they’ve gone on to be successful anyway. So can you.
Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do to apply this law immediately:
First, imagine that every experience you have ever had with money contained a special lesson that was designed just for you to help you to ultimately become financially independent. What are the most important lessons you have learned so far?
Second, analyze yourself honestly and determine your biggest block, your major self-limiting belief that holds you back from becoming more successful financially. Resolve to act from now on as if this block no longer exists.

Accept it or Leave it
January 18th, 2009 . by Leon Jay . 1 CommentThe solution to most problems comes under 2 umbrellas. You either accept it. By accepting something inside yourself, sometimes outward change occurs. If you cannot accept something, it is best to leave or remove yourself from the situation. Complaining or blaming solves nothing. It only keeps you in a negative state.
I don’t know any other action that doesn’t fall into either of these 2 categories. It makes things easy when you know there are only 2 decisions to make.

Changing Your Beliefs: What’s the Point?
January 14th, 2009 . by Leon Jay . 3 CommentsI have been asked why am I raising awareness on how to change your beliefs? Beliefs are so important as they determine your life. Pretty powerful! So it makes sense if you are unhappy and disatisfied with your life to do something at a core level. At the core level lies your beliefs.
Many of us don’t even know what are beliefs are. Most of our beliefs are not ours - we picked them up as children and haven’t bothered to review them. They are so deeply rooted within us, we tend to ignore them.
Are your beliefs true or not? Even if you know a belief not to be true - it can still influence what you do. Some beliefs are self sabotaging. They prevent you from doing what you want.
I strongly believe it’s important to FIND out your beliefs. Toss out the ones that don’t serve you and install new ones that work FOR you. If you don’t make an effort to discover your beliefs, your existing ones will simply run on default.
I have looked at the tools out there for changing your beliefs easily and permanently. I haven’t found anything. Yes there is plenty of reading material but no real substance.
I have been madly working on the development of a FREE software product that will do what I have not been able to find. A tool that is used to change your beliefs easily, consistently and thoroughly. This will be available for you in the coming months.
Which unhelpful beliefs do you have? Some ideas…
“I’ll be happy when…….” (delaying happiness)
“It’s impossible to change - I am who I am”
“Everyone has to do things they don’t particularly like”
“I am unworthy of a loving relationship”

How to live the Perfect Life…
January 12th, 2009 . by Leon Jay . 2 Comments
I think our society places too much emphasis on ‘being perfect‘. When I was growing up, “Do your best at everything” was drummed into me from all directions.
It is certainly important to recognise and prioritise what is most important to you. Do your best in those areas, putting more time into them. And for the rest - just do them. Not perfectly, but just get them done.
It is liberating and efficient to live your life in this way. It’s like a weight off your shoulders that you DON’T have to perform your best in every area of your life.
After all who is judging you? Who are you trying to do your best for? Exactly, you!

The REAL Driving Forces…
January 11th, 2009 . by Leon Jay . 1 CommentSometimes we chase what we think we want, when really these are just a cover for our real hidden desires. We can (unknowingly) hide what we really want in the attaintment of certain experiences or external objects.
I’m sure you have heard that when people want more money, it is often more security and freedom they are really chasing.
Thankfully a lot of what we are really want we can satisfy without external objects. Be honest with yourself and identify what you are really striving for (there are often several). Then ask yourself how can you best achieve whatever state really drives you.
This will save you time and effort. You will not be chasing something that leaves you feeling empty and hollow.
Brian Tracey identifies these drives:
to be admired
to be liked,
to be successful,
to be healthy,
to have respect,
to have recognition,
to have social status,
to be up-to-date & current,
to have power,
to hold influence,
to be popular,
for self expression,
for comfort,
for understanding,
for self actualisation,
for companionship,
for knowledge,
to not miss out
for self preservation

Catering for Setbacks…
January 7th, 2009 . by Leon Jay . 4 CommentsPerhaps you have set your goals. The time is ticking by & you are not on track to achieving them. Your frustration is growing and you are starting to freak out. What can you do?
Firstly you are not a failure if you do not achieve one of your goals. The most important thing to do is attempt fearlessly & honestly give it your best shot. Whatever setback has appeared is necessary for your growth. This can be a hard pill to swallow as you are probably thinking, “there is no way this set-back could be helping me.”
Every road block has its purpose. If you look closely at your goal, are you barking up the wrong tree? Are you trying to achieve a goal in a way you think is the only way, when perhaps there is a different easier way? A set-back could be a way of alerting you to this.
Looking back at my life there has always been a silver lining to every ‘horrific incident’ that has appeared in my life. At the time it may not be reassuring knowing this. If you are in the middle of a set-back what can you do?
I would recommend continuing on your path to your goal. Ask yourself, “is there any way I could be achieving this goal differently?” Often if you ask the right questions, you will obtain the right answers. Also pay attention to how you feel. Do you feel excited & genuinely happy at the idea of achieving your goals? If not you are wasting your time, chasing something you don’t want deep down.
I like this quote. “The deepest human defeat suffered by human beings is constituted by the difference between what one was capable of becoming and what one has in fact become.”

Worry Can Help You…
January 5th, 2009 . by Leon Jay . No Comments
I believe how we feel can point us in the right direction. If you are feeling generally positive & happy with how your life is unfolding - it is reinforcing you are doing the right things & are on track. If you are feeling worried but can’t put your finger on why, perhaps it is time to assess things…
For me when I feel generally uneasy (for no obvious reason) I know a change has to be made. I review 6 key areas of my life. Family. Relationships. Spirituality. Career. Health. Money. And within these 5 areas I ask myself honestly, how do I feel? I identify what change needs to be made & then go about making those changes.

Review Your Progress Through Time…
January 3rd, 2009 . by Leon Jay . No CommentsAs you look back over the last 6 months have you made any progress? No? Then cast your mind back over the past two & a half years. Any progress there?
I ask becasue sometimes it feels we are getting nowhere. If you review a chunk of time then you often clearly see your progress. But what happens if you didn’t notice any growth?
If this is the case is it because you are constantly changing your mind? Are your inherent core values the same as the last couple of years?
If you are not demonstrating any consistency it is unlikely you will see progressive growth over time. You may find yourself running on a tread-mill that goes nowhere (no matter how fast you are running).
To get yourself out of this floundering state you need to figure out where to start. This in itself can be a huge challenge. Where do you begin?
Start with the task that will bring your life the greatest relief. Yes start with the biggest, hairiest task first. This is a great habit to get into.
If you honestly cannot identify what would bring you the greatest relief, I would say just start. Anywhere. It doesn’t matter where.
As you take action it will become clear to you what you need to do next. And as you keep crossing things off your list (big & small) you will find over time you have acheived a lot.

Writing Your Resolutions? 6 Tips…
December 31st, 2008 . by Leon Jay . 3 Comments1. Short
The shorter the better (ideally no more than 3-5 words). Research has shown a single word repeated can affect the emotional state of an individual. A set of words that contain the same meaning and then sequenced individually, will be more powerful than a complex sentence detailing
the intention.
2. Positive
Use phrases that say what you want (not what you don’t want). Sometimes this is easier said than done. The trick is to avoid words such as “don’t, no, non, no longer, not”
3. Emotional
Create positive emotion whenever possible. Get excited about the change you are aiming towards. Use phrases such as “I enjoy… I love… I am excited to… I welcome… I embrace…”
4. Honest
Do not lie to yourself. If you know it is not possible for you to be a millionaire - do not put it on your list. Instead create choices or acknowledge change such as “In 2009 I choose to be… I allow myself to… I am becoming …” These are more believable to your mind than straight lies. Lies meet mental resistance and create disharmony. They force the brain to focus on the reasons why the message is not true - the opposite of your desired result.
5. Specific
Avoid being vague. Set specific, achievable, well defined goals for yourself. Don’t say to yourself “I am thin” say instead, “By the end of 2009 I now choose to weigh 65kg”
6. Present Tense
Phrase your words in the present tense. Don’t say, “I am going to… I wish I were…” Instead say “I am now…” Your subconscious mind does not understand the difference between present and future. Use this to your advantage by phrasing things in the now.
