<p>We&#8217;re running on that treadmill and <strong>can&#8217;t</strong> get off.</p>
<p>Sometimes it&#8217;s useful to take a <strong>step back</strong> and assess your life.  Are you <strong>closer</strong> to achieving your dream?  Is the process of pursuing a particular dream leaving other areas of your life <strong>dying</strong>?</p>
<p>If you have lost sight of your original dream it may be time to make a <strong>new one</strong>.</p>
<p>Or perhaps you can pursue your original dream with more <strong>fun</strong> and <strong>enjoyment</strong>.  What is fun often has a <strong>high vibration</strong> associated with it, which can <strong>speed</strong> things up tremendously.</p>
<p>So take time out to ensure <strong>more joy</strong> is kept in the process of attaining your dreams.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It seems everybody goes on and on about <strong>passion</strong>.  What&#8217;s the big deal?  Those that are living their passion are enjoying life on <strong>another level</strong>.  They feel ge<img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-318" title="Why aren\'t you living your passion?" src="http://changingyourbeliefs.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/passion.jpg" alt="Why aren\'t you living your passion?" />nuinely happy.  Of course there are still the usual set-backs - but with passion so much more can be <strong>overcome</strong>.</p>
<p>My passion is working for myself.  I get <strong>incredible satisfaction</strong> and joy waking up each day - knowing I&#8217;m doing  what I&#8217;m supposed to be doing.</p>
<p>How do you <strong>find</strong> your passion?  I don&#8217;t believe this is the issue&#8230;</p>
<p>Many of us <strong>know</strong> what we truly love doing.  We have an inkling - but perhaps we&#8217;re ignoring it.  It is scary indeed to leave our comfort zones to pursue our true passion.</p>
<p>Not enough of us are <strong>living</strong> our passion.  <strong>Fear</strong> is huge.  It takes <strong>guts</strong>.  It takes <strong>commitment</strong>.  And it takes a lot of <strong>faith</strong>.</p>
<p>How about <strong>incorporating </strong>your passion into your everyday life in <strong>baby steps</strong>?  It&#8217;s not necessary to feel you have to change overnight.  As you <strong>include</strong> your passion more and more into your life, you will find you want it to BE your life.  For me, <strong>my passion shapes</strong> every aspect of my living.</p>

<p><strong>1.    Realise the truth</strong><br />
I think a big contributing factor for having low self confidence is the things you may have heard others say about you in the past. You may have been programmed to believe you are no good or worthless. This is not true at all - it is simply someone&#8217;s opinion of you.</p>
<p><strong>2.    Be comfortable with being judged</strong><br />
Basically everyone judges everybody else. You cannot control what others think of you. But you can decide you are not going to be bothered by what others say. What others say is to do with them - not you. Be comfortable with others criticising you.</p>
<p><strong>3.    Ignore Your Past</strong><br />
Whatever happened in your past is gone. Instead of beating yourself up on what could have or should have been, concentrate on what you are doing now. You do have control in the present moment.<br />

4.    Take Action</strong><br />
Slowly but surely begin changing what you don&#8217;t like about yourself. The more things you change about yourself, the more your self confidence will grow.</p>
<p><strong>5.    Compare yourself only to yourself</strong><br />
There is no purpose in comparing yourself to others. It takes patience to develop yourself. As you change over time, you will see the remarkable change in yourself. Perhaps you would like to keep a journal?</p>

<p>Here is the &#8216;<strong>Present Moment Method</strong>&#8216; that&#8217;s been put forth to me recently, that may be the answer for you.  I&#8217;ll let you decide&#8230;</p>
<p>In a nutshell the &#8216;Present Moment Method&#8217; says we make it harder on ourselves by trying to <strong>analyse</strong> &amp; figure out the <strong>origins</strong> of our limiting beliefs.</p>
<p>The only thing that matters is how you are <strong>feeling</strong> in the present moment.  Basically all you need to do is to feel good.  <strong>Feel good</strong> in the present moment.  Look for things to <strong>appreciate</strong> and feel good about.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s it.  I don&#8217;t want to comment on this technique as <strong>my judgement</strong> may colour what you think.  This &#8216;Present Moment Technique&#8217; may strike a chord with you, and if so I&#8217;m glad.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I think all of us know we <strong>make excuses</strong> to ourselves - and I think a lot of us <strong>listen</strong> to those excuses.  This <img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-304" title="Are you still making excuses..." src="http://changingyourbeliefs.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/are-you-still-making-excuses.jpg" alt="Are you still making excuses..." width="248" height="248" />prevents us from <strong>doing</strong> anything.  We can&#8217;t reach our <strong>goals</strong> if we&#8217;re not taking any action.</p>
<p>How can we <strong>stop</strong> making excuses?  Simply by <strong>monitoring</strong> our thoughts and <strong>consciously</strong> being on the lookout.  When you <strong>recognise</strong> yourself making an excuse, <strong>acknowledge</strong> that is what you are doing.</p>
<p>The next thing is to <strong>override</strong> your excuse(s) and take the necessary action to get you to your goals.  By <strong>not giving in</strong> to your excuses you create a <strong>new habit</strong> in your life.  You are literally <strong>programming yourself</strong> to make less and less excuses.</p>
<p><strong>Procrastination</strong> and excuses will become a shadow of your old self.  Your <strong>new behaviour</strong> will be set.  As you take action <strong>faster </strong>and more <strong>regularly</strong>.</p>
<p>Something to keep in mind: An excuse is different from a <strong>reason</strong>.  A reason is based in the real world (while an excuse is not based in reality).  Even if you do have what you perceive as a <strong>valid reason</strong> for not taking action it&#8217;s great to ask yourself, <em>&#8220;How can I <strong>work around</strong> this reason to still achieve my goal?&#8221;</em> Your brain will give you a host of answers.</p>
